Description:
This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .38-55 black powder ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 255 grain grooved lead bullets. This is a two piece, early black powder box with the later 48 grain loading for the model 1894 Winchester that retains the Ballard and Marlin rifle call outs without reference to the 94 (earlier loadings in this box style were 55 grains of powder). The box is solid with expert repairs to the top corners having stained but very good top and side labels with a nice cartridge cut, edge and corner wear and flaking and overall mild age soiling. The cartridges have some age darkening spots but are in excellent overall condition. A hard to find box that will display well with your salty old 94.
