Absolutely the single finest Charles Daly I've ever had - Made in 1925, this Charles Daly Regent Diamond quality gun with 28" Excelsior Whitten Fluid steel barrels. Splinter forend is Very finely checkered and carved with heavily relief engraved Deeley latch release. The scalloped boxlock action is fully engraved and has fantastic shell carved fences. Multiple gold inlays of animals in great detail as seen in the photos. The buttstock has beautiful carved and checkered cheeks, horn appointed ball grip, gold oval in toe line, and original horn buttplate. The quality of the engraving and workmanship on this gun cannot be overstated!!
The gun remains in superb all original condition with virtually all factory original finishes remaining. Case color is brilliant and original. Stocks are crisp with original finishes throughout. Barrels with beautiful original blue. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are perfect.
