Description:
Arisaka 99 Rifle built at Nagoya Arsenal in the first Series. Clean 16 petal MUM. Brought back by my great uncle from the Pacific theater. Complete clean gun with the aircraft sight, wire monopod, cleaning rod. The bore and bolt face are shiny and the rifling is superb. The gun was oiled and stored with his other guns since he brought it home, the last time it was fired was by a Japanese soldier. I've seen alot of these rifles and this one is one of the best original examples that I've handled. I'm thinning my personal guns down as I approach retirement. I've heard enough horror stories about shippers breaking stocks so this will get packaged in a cardboard carton with plywood sides the length of the interior and also padded well.
