Description:
This Winchester Model 1873 Musket was manufactured in 1890 and remains in very good overall condition with an excellent bore. Gun is stamped "Model 1873" on top tang and "King's Improvement Patented March 29, 1866 - October 16, 1860". Gun has ladder style rear sight in working order, dust cover still in place and sling swivels attached. Wood has turned dark with age but remains solid with no cracks, only light dings and scratches normal for 133 years of use. Metal has patinaed with age and shows some light oxidation all over with no trace of case color visible. Bore remains bright and excellent. This old Winchester would make a great addition to any collection! .44-40 Winchester
