***SOLD*** One of the most sought after and difficult to find of all the coveted Pre Wars, here is a beautiful example of an early Model 70 in 300 Magnum (300 H&H). S/N 40127 with matching bolt made in 1941. 97% condition throughout with only light handling marks and a bit of blue wear in the usual places. UNDRILLED rear receiver bridge. 26" barrel with a perfect bore, which is stamped simply "300 Magnum" since this was the only one in existence at the time! (Barrels were later stamped 300 H&H to avoid confusion with subsequent 300 caliber Magnums). All mechanical functions are butter smooth, crisp, and functioning correctly. An 82 y.o. unaltered gem, and a wonderful example of the finest of all 70s.
