Payment Types Accepted: USPS money order preferred, or check Description: SOLD This is an original, rare Merwin & Bray New York single shot derringer with swing out octagon barrel and nickle plated brass frame. The pistol was manufactured by Merwin and Bray from 1859 to 1866, through the Civil war years. (1861-65). It has a 3 3/4 inch octagon barrel with single blade silver sight, and rosewood grips. Marked with the serial number under the barrel and at the base of the grips with the matching serial number of “4150”. Chambered in .30 RF caliber. Bore has visible rifling and is in fair shape. The handgun is not marked, but is an original Merwin and Bray, founded by Joseph Merwin in 1856 and was closed in 1874.
