Stunning David McKay Brown 20g over and under. In superb condition, ready for a new home. 28 inch barrels with factory Teague chokes. Number 2 of a pair. The gun is listed in Donald Dallas book. Built in 2005 by the man himself. David has retired now so no more guns being built by his hand. Making this a very rare and desirable DMB 20g.
Highly figured, dark walnut with English straight hand stock. Beautifully appointed with a Silvers pad for a classic British look, as to be expected. A lively 6.6lbs, just shy of 14 3/4 LOP with 2 1/8 drop at heel and cast off for the right hander approx 3/16.
The Scottish round action has deep floral engraving performed by creative arts. This would be an upgraded pattern over the DMB standard Scottish scrol. It has SAFE inlaid in gold. Also has the previous owner's initials in gold on the strap and on the bottom of the trigger gaurd, very tastefully done. The number 2 is in gold on the rib by the breach, the top lever and on the forend.
It comes with a high quality, leather bound, double gun case. Complete with makers label. There are 8 assorted chokes included. They are numbered to the gun and extras can be ordered directly from Teague as need. These were factory installed by Teague for DMB.
I am the second owner. I have maybe shot one flat of shells through the gun. As tight as a bank vault, and has clearly been lightly shot and well cared for. Of all the British makers, including the best London guns, none close with such a rewarding and positive feel as a DMB O/U. A stunning gun, in need of a good new home.
