This is a late 4th Model revolver, made ca. 1909, and has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, latch, and extractor. The metal retains 95-97% of the original nickel finish, with some scattered spots of brown freckling and some small scratches present throughout. A few small areas of the frontstrap have worn to the underlying gray metal as well. The trigger guard and latch have a commensurate amount of the original blue remaining, while the hammer and trigger retain about 90% of the original color case-hardening. The hard rubber grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in good-near very good shape with areas of moderate wear and flattening on both panels. The lock-up is tight, with no lateral play in the barrel, and the action is fully functional. This is a nice little top-break S&W, and is in very good-fine condition.
