Description:
Beautiful O/U 28ga made by August Francotte with 26" barrels. Three piece checkered forend with lightly engraved latch release. The case hardened boxlock receiver is nicely scroll engraved in about 40% coverage and has nicely blued and engraved trigger plate. Gold inlaid "S" in front of the safety slide. Blued trigger guard is also nicely scroll engraved on bow with SN at tang. The round knob pistol grip buttstock is nicely figured, two point pattern checkered, has silver oval on toe line, and terminates with its original checkered butt. Double locking crossbolt action. Gun made with double triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety.
Gun remains in beautiful untouched original condition. Barrels with about 95%+ original blue. Frame with about 75%+ original case color. Stocks are sound and excellent with original finish and some minor handling marks scattered about. Checkering remains excellent. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. Gun locks up tight as a bank vault!
