For your consideration, a Colt Model of 1911 U.S. Army chambered in .45 Auto. This piece is a reproduction of the original, pre-A1 iteration of the vaunted 1911 pistol. Distinctive to this configuration are the abbreviated grip safety profile, long trigger, smooth mainspring housing, wide hammer spur, and high cut ejection port. U.S. property and branch markings have been replicated, while Ordnance Dept markings are accordingly absent. .45 Auto
