Serial No. 16810, made in 1858, .44 caliber, 7.5"" barrel. Finish is mostly a smooth brown patina with traces of blue lower left side of the frame. Frame is stamped with""COLT/PATENT/U.S."" Barrel is New York Address mark with Three Leaf rear sight added. Handsome cylinder scene is visible, serial numbers are matching. Grips have been lightly sanded at some point with chips noted at the toe. Roughly 1200-1500 3rd Model Dragoons were cut for shoulder stocks. Action indexes correctly with tight lock up.
