LIKE NEW BELGIAN DOUBLE BARREL FLINTLOCK SIDE BY SIDE MUZZLE LOADING SHOTGUN CIRCA 1890s. Found in Arms of the World - 1911 reprint of Alfa catalogue. 33.5" barrels are fluid steel and smoothbore with pretty nice unused-condition bores. Spring tensions are still like new with secure hammers without play and each has half cock. Solid top and bottom rib. Original wood never refinished. One wedge key affixing barrels. Liege proofs under barrels with crisp markings and "14" as far as bore diameter goes (which denotes 12 Ga.). Typical Belgian quality craftsmanship with repurposed steel buttplate having regimental markings. Excellent candidate for the vintage shooter willing to go back in time with a flintlock side by side. Have had a few of these over the years, never on ein such unused condition, usually found with damascus barrels but this one has fluid steel barrels.
