IT HAS RETAINED ABOUT 99+% OF THE ORIGINAL HIGH POLISH FACTORY BLUE. THE THE LITTLE LOSS THERE IS, IS FROM SOME VERY SLIGHT SHARP EDGE SILVERING ON THE MUZZLE BRAKE.AND A FEW TINY SURFACE SCRATCHES..THE STRIATED FRONT GRIP STRAP SHOWS NO SIGN OF GRAYING. ALL PARTS ARE ORIGINAL TO THE GUN. THE CHECKERED WALNUT THUMB REST GRIPS, AND GRIP SCREWS ALSO PERFECT. NOT EVEN A FLATTENED POINT. THE SLIDE RAILS, BOLT FACE AND FEED RAMP SHOW LITTLE IF ANY USE. THE BORE IS PRISTINE, SUNSHINE BRIGHT WITH SCALPEL SHARP RIFLING, NOT A WISP OF FROST ANYWHERE. IT COMES COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL 67 YEAR OLD FACTORY CARDBOARD BOX,WHICH APPEARS TO BE NUMBERED DIFFERENTLY. THIS ICONIC FIRST MODEL "41" COMPLETE WITH THEE ORIGINAL MUZZLE BRAKE AND COCKING INDICATOR WOULD PLEASE EVEN THE MOST CRITICAL COLLECTOR AND CERTAINLY WOULD BE AN "X RING BLASTER" AT THE RANGE.
