Serial No. 227271, made in 1983, .45-70, 32.5"" round proofed barrel. Rifle's stock has been cut down and lightly sanded some time ago. Metal is a mottled dark grey patina with pin-prick oxidation visible. Bore is bright with light areas of frosting visible in the grooves, rifling remains strong. Elevation bar has been removed from the rear sight. Lock plate is marked with ""Eagle"" motif with ""U.S./Springfield"". Consignment
