Currently, I am selling some of the later items from my personal collection. I am a private collector and reside in Ft. Myers, Florida. I AM NOT a dealer. Description: 1981 Colt blued Python .357 magnum in the more scarce and desirable 8-inch configuration from my private collection.  I am not a gun dealer.  The price is: $2,880 DESCRIPTION: Lightly used.  Full 8-inch barrel under lug and high vented rib at top.  Chambered in .357 magnum.  Includes the original factory box without Styrofoam insert, correct labeling, and the original 1979 Python manual. The original finish is Royal High Polish Blue with Pachmayr Presentation ‘Colt’ Rampant Colt gold medallion' Grips.  The finish is 99.9% perfect, no scratches, no rust, with one small light holster rub on the left side barrel tip edge, no drag lines. The bore and cylinder holes are bright and crisp. Mechanically perfect.  This revolver has had exceptional care and shows no use or abuse. There are no wood grips and I don’t know if this revolver was shipped with only the Pachmayr grips or not.  There is no damage to any part of this revolver.   Any discolorations in the photos are due to oil sheen and my lighting.  All bluing is deep dark blue and factory original. The serial number is K37896.  Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “PYTHON .357 / * .357 MAGNUM CTG. *”. The right side of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”. The crane is marked “K37896”. The left side plate is marked with the “Rampant Colt” logo. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with “VP” in a triangle and at the rear with “Y”.  Sights: The original rear sight is blackened and adjustable.  The original front sight is a black blade.  The rear sight is a square, notched adjustable for windage and elevation that is pinned to the top strap of the frame. The front sight is a serrated ramp pinned to the top of the rib.  The top of the barrel rib and the top strap have a matte black finish to reduce glare. Grips: PACHMAYR PRESENTATION CI-L-BLK FOR COLT "I" FRAME  Box and data: The Styrofoam insert in the box is missing.  All of the box label data is consistent with this revolver as to model and serial number. The Colt Python original factory box end with Bar Code Value: I - 3680 K37896    K37896  equals 1981 Serial numbers with prefix 'K' were only made for three years.  I - 3680 is the factory model number. Production year 1981, serial numbers K16266 to K75747, and number of Pythons made 59,481 Purchased from the estate of the original 1981 owner in 2021.  No metal modifications.
