Description:
A factory letter accompanies this rare Pre Model 36 Target AKA Chiefs Special Target confirming the configuration and detailing its shipment on March 10, 1961 to H.H. Harris in Chicago, Illinois. This gun is part of only 198 built in 1959 and it bears a unique serial number, 150000 ! Note the 2” barrel has an especially tall front sight blade unique only to this model. The gun is complete in the original numnbers matching blue box with the NOX-Rust vapor paper and warranty card. The original bright blue finish is wonderful and rates 99% on any scale. The checkered diamond magna grips are numbers matching to the gun. The bore and cylinder chambers are mint and the mechanical working order is flawless. Overall a top-shelf example of a surprisingly tough to find small frame S&W that will fill a vacancy in nearly any collection. A must own!!
