PRICE REDUCTION-I am offering from my personal collection, a heavy barrel, custom stocked Browning/Sako rifle in .222 Remington. It was custom stocked by Fred Speiser in Missoula, Montana. Wood is nicely figured English walnut. Checkering is point pattern with wrap around style on the forend. Grip cap is steel/2 screw. Forend cap is ebony wood. Buttplate is Pachmayer basketweave/rubber. Swivel bases are 2 screw style. Floor plate is factory engraved with light scroll. Side safety has been replaced by a bolt shroud mounted custom safety, ALA Winchester M70 style.
In keeping with the quality of the rifle, it is scoped with a Zeiss 10X36 with duplex crosshairs. Scope mounts are Kimber.
This rifle is one of approximately 6,000 Sako actioned Brownings imported in the late 1960's. This rifle is not a salt wood gun.
All of these rifles were very accurate and this rifle is no exception, as you can see by examining the load test target in this ad.
This is an opportunity to own a custom stocked Browning for the cost of a factory Safari grade rifle.
If the Zeiss scope/mounts are not included, deduct $500.00.
This rifle has been well cared for and remains accurate and in near new condition despite its 55 year age.
