Remington Model 11 - The Sportsman - 16 Ga. Semi -Auto Shotgyn - Manufactured by Remington under a patent agreement with Browning until 1945. Similar to the Browning Model Sweet Sixteen. The Sportsman was designed for hunters with a 3 round x 2.75 shell capacity to conform with Waterfowl regulations at that time. American walnut checkered pistol grip style stock and checkered forend with a Whiteline cushion butt pad in excellent condition. 26 In. long solid ribbed barrel with a white bead front sight and a Poly Corp adj. Modified to Full choke. LOP - 14 In. Wgt 7.5 Lbs. Bore is clean and bright. Barrel and receiver are retaining 100% bluing. Game scene engraved on both sides. Stock and forend are in excellent condition with minimal handling marks. The solid rib barrel was special order at that time. Rare . Includes a new soft sleeve. Overall condition is excellent. Appears shotgun had a professional restoration at some point in it's past. Barrel code indicates manufactured July 1940. Beautiful addition to any collection.
