Description:
For your consideration, a Smith & Wesson model 629-3 chambered in .44 Magnum. This piece is a commemorative celebrating the 1989 centennial of storied, Pennsylvanian steel company, the Carpenter Technology Corporation. Accordingly, it has been etched with relevant imagery via S&W's Lasersmith method which debuted that same year. The cylinder features 6 variations of Carpenter's logo accompanied by their year of implementation, while the sideplate plays host to imagery of a foundry worker pouring molten steel into crucibles. Poetically, Carpenter has been a supplier of stainless steel to S&W, making this quite a fitting piece of memorabilia, indeed. Of 2060 such guns, this example is number 46. .44 Magnum
