Description:
Here is a Remington Rolling Block that may have seen service in countrys to our south. The rifle and the caliber, 7x57, were popular south of what used to be the border. This particular rifle is full-length, not the carbine. Bore has strong rifling, no pitting but dark. I know it's a good shooter as I've shot it. Having said that there is a question about "are rolling blocks safe to shoot with modern ammunition?". I don't know. I've done it with no problems or even extraction issues. Having shot some foreign made 7x57 factory ammunition, I would either stick to American made fodder or roll my own to what loading manuals tell me is safe. This rifle has one 2 inch tight crack going out from the butt that is going nowhere but I do want to mention it. Sights,  stock, etc are all original. $800 + $50 toward shipping and insurance. A C&R or ffl is necessary to ship.
