Description:
This early 1970s Smith & Wesson Model 37 "Airweight" revolver is a 2-inch barrel, 5-shot revolver that is identical to the Smith & Wesson Model 36 Chiefs' Special, except for the materials used in construction. The Airweight model 37 was actually the younger brother to the Model 36 "Chief's Special", an identical gun that had a steel frame instead of the lightweight aluminum thus resulting in a considerably lighter firearm. The model 37 came out in 1951 and went largely unchanged until Smith & Wesson finally dropped them all together in 2006. .38 S&W Special
