Savage 1899H in .303 Savage. Beautiful engraved classic lightweight Savage 1899H made in 1913. This rifle has the takedown option as well as the rotary magazine. The rotary magazine allows the use of spitzer bullets, which could not be used in the Winchester rifles of the times because the pointed tips could cause accidental discharge. This well-designed rifle also features a hammerless action which helped improve accuracy and reduced the risk of snagging on brush or clothing. This rifle is in excellent condition. .303 Savage
