Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Here we have a piece of WW2 history....a Walther PPK Eagle-C police pistol in .32 ACP. The Walther PPK is a smaller version of the PP with a shorter grip, barrel and frame, and reduced magazine capacity. A new, two-piece wrap-around grip panel construction was used to conceal the exposed back strap. The smaller size made it more concealable than the original PP and hence better suited to plain-clothes or undercover work. It was released in 1931. "PPK" is an abbreviation for Polizeipistole Kriminal (literally "police pistol criminal"), referring to the Kriminalamt crime investigation office. This pistol is an example of a 1941 production Walther PPK Pistol that was issued to the Nazi Police Apparatus and bears their “Eagle C” acceptance stamp. This pistol is Eagle N proofed and it is the most common of the Police issued Walthers with about 24,500 being produced. These pistols were needed in large quantities to arm the Nazi Police apparatus in the occupied territories. The PPK would have been the ideal pistol for use by plain clothes officers who were hunting down partisans and other enemies of the Reich. This particular example is in good overall condition while exhibiting some finish issues on the left side of the slide and the typical small crack on the back of the grip. There are light handling marks and a little high edge wear. Mechanically the pistol works as it should....smooth action, good decocker and trigger pull. Slide to frame fit is very precise. The grips have the typical crack at the back, a crack on each side going through the "Walther" name and the beginings of one on the left side next to the screw hole. Though not perfect this fine Walther is a very good example of a German wartime police pistol with all the correct marks. One magazine and a 1938 dated holster are included.
