**SOLD** For your consideration is a Cimarron/Uberti 1872 Navy Open Top replica revolver chambered in .44 Special caliber. This fine single action revolver is a faithfully made replica of the Colt 1872 Navy Open Top revolver. The 1872 Colt Open Top Revolvers were produced simultanneously with the Richards and Richards-Mason Conversion. Between February 1872 until June 1873 a total of 7 000 pieces were produced. This Colt revolver is not a conversion but was produced for metallic cartridfges: the barrel cylinder and frame were made intentionally whereas parts such as the grip assembly and the internal components were adapted from the Navy `51 and the Army `60. Production stopped abruptly when the Single Action was introduced. This fine reproduction is in mint/unfired condition - there is no evidence that it's ever been cocked. The case hardening, brass frame, deep bluing and walnut grip panels make for an extremely handsome firearm. The 5 1/2" barrel has a like new bore and rifling since it has not been fired since leaving the factory in Italy. This fine Cimarron would make a great addition to a collection of single action revolvers or a very cost effective way to start a new collection.
