Description:
Ithaca 4E Flues 20-gauge SxS shotgun. Made in 1921 this Ithaca 4E remains completely original with the sole exception being the buttstock has been “freshened” from the back of the grip checkering to the nicely added English style recoil pad.
The 28” barrels have a raised solid rib. Both right and left bores measure .610” diameter just slightly tighter than the norm of .615” and both bores are choked Cyl/Cyl. The bores are bright and shiny. Upon extreme close inspection there is a very small “ding” in the right bore about 12” from the breech. This “ding” does not impact the safety or the shoot ability of the gun!
The diminutive 20-gauge frame has traces of case colors and has nice graying patina. The 4E engraving is well cut and very nice. The gun has automatic ejectors, automatic safety and double triggers.
Nicely grained Walnut English style straight grip stock with a 14 3/8” LOP over a 1” solid red, professionally installed, recoil pad. 1 9/16” DAC and 2 ¼” DAH with neutral cast. Both the stock and the splinter fore are beautifully checkered with Fleur de Lis.
Weighs 6 lbs. 9 oz. and balances well between the hands.
