Instantly recognizable James Reid "My Friend" Knuckle-Duster .22 caliber revolver with engraved brass frame. These revolvers were intended for use as both a pocket pistol and set of brass knuckles, manufactured from 1868-1882. It has a top strap groove sight, with the left side marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865". Seven-shot unfluted cylinder, with matching numbers on the cylinder and frame. Frame is decorated with leafy scroll, with an accent behind the hammer and a checkered shield on the rear of the solid grip whose serial number 11259 is on the bottom. Synopsis: Striking Reid Knuckle Duster, .22 cal., engraved brass frame. ANTIQUE! Condition: Good, with the cylinder toned to a spotted grey, the frame a mustard yellow, handling marks as imaged. Cylinder rotates as expected, though each chamber needs a small nudge to firmly seat.
