Description: General Specs: Parker, Year 1893, 16 Gauge, 6lbs. 5oz., Chokes M/F, LOP 14 1/8", DAH 2 3/4", DAC 1 11/16" Serial Number: 77036 There are some Parkers that are special, and a Parker 16ga. on a "0" frame (20ga. frame) is just such a gun. More than a 1/2 pound lighter than a Parker 16ga. built on the standard #1 frame, the "0" frame 16 gauge is highly sought after by today's upland hunter. They are not common, and to find a GH Grade 0 frame 16ga. is a very rare find. Such a small percentage of Parker 16ga. guns were built on the 20ga. frame that there are likely less than 150 or so Parker GH 16ga. guns ever made on the 20ga. frame, and less than 30 or so with 30” barrels! Very rare indeed! This Parker GH, sn77066 made in 1893, is stunning with its 30” fine Damascus barrels retaining 99% damascus pattern. Those in the know recognize the barrels are the heart of the gun, and these Damascus barrels are awesome, with tight ribs (barrels ring like chimes), excellent bores, factory bore diameter and plenty of wall thickness to shoot moderate pressure loads safely. The barrels are tight on the hinge pin and breech face like a new gun. The chambers are factory original 2 9/16”. We have a good stock of RST 16ga. 2 ½” shells and we will share them with the buyer of this gun. The overall condition of this Parker shows somebody really cared for it over the last 130 years. The action has about 15% fading case colors and a pleasing silver/grey coloration and strong, clear engraving. She has perfect screws and wood-to-metal fit, wood finish still strong and the stock showing some nice figure, checkering and borders still excellent, no cracks or repairs, superb mechanics…no excuses. This is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN, meaning we stripped the action to the smallest part, cleaned all in the Ultrasonic cleaner, scrubbed each part and inspected all for function and integrity, properly lubricated and reassembled. VFI CERTIFIED guns have a 90-day mechanical warranty (a $275 service in our shop). There is a Parker Gun Collectors factory letter that comes with the gun. Presently choked M/F, we can alter the chokes to your liking. Weighing in at 6lbs. 5oz. and balanced 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, this Parker is a wand in hand with its long, graceful 30” barrels. The gun has the coveted Parker Dogs Head Buttplate and modern stock dimensions. See specifications below. What a great carry gun for upland birds and the vintage clay target games. You could walk the fields all day long and not be fatigued from carrying a heavy gun. Just in time for the upcoming pheasant and upland season…don’t you deserve to take some birds with a classic long barreled Parker? This is an ANTIQUE (CAN BE SHIPPED TO ANY ADDRESS YOU SPECIFY) investment grade Parker that you can be proud of, shoot to your heart’s content, and pass down to the next generation ready for another 130 years of service.
