Factory Engraved Colt 1862 Police with carved ivory grips with a dragoon motif. This is a solid original factory engraved Colt. This particular gun was factory engraved by the shop of Nimschke. The "P" underneath the serial number symbolizes the "factory engraved" notation on this particular gun. This gun is in a serial number range for Nimschke Factory Engraved guns. The grips show an old age crack on both sides but other then that, extremely fine condition. All matching serial numbers. Engraving is excellent. This example is covered in a nice appealing grey patina. Mechanically works well. Factory engraved Police's are getting harder and harder to find! You really can't beat this one for the price!
