For consideration is a classic Left Handed Sako L61R Finnbear bolt action hunting rifle in .270 Winchester caliber. The Finnbear L61R was developed for big game hunting in 1961 was the first rifle manufactured to be compatible with Sako’s own lock. The L61R Finnbear is every hunter’s trusted weapon that is traditional and reliable. This beautiful rifle was built in Finland and is made with extremely high precision. The Monte Carlo stock is beautiful and has cut checkering. The rifle has only very light handling and use marks. There is one extremely light mark on the top right side of the stock behind the recoil lug which looks to be consistent with going into or out of a safe (photo 21). The top of the action has front and rear scope mounting tapered dovetails for the Sako mounting system. Unloading the rifle after the hunt is facilitated by a hinged floorplate. The barrel has a mint bore with factory fresh rifling. The two position safety is smooth and sure. Trigger pull is very good. This precision Sako would make a great hunting rifle for a left handed shooter.
