Description:
<p>Serial #569228, .38-55 Win, 20 inch barrel with a lightly frosted, extra fine bore with strong rifling. This is the model 94 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured in 1912. The classic SRC retains about 75-80% blue on the barrel and magazine tube, toning to plum-brown in wear areas with scattered scratches and use marks. The receiver, lever and hammer are mostly plum-brown to grey with scratch marks around several of the screw holes with the saddle ring present. The walnut shotgun butt stock has an old chip at the heel and shows other contusions and scratches with the forearm having two small cracks forward of the barrel band. The hard rubber Winchester butt plate is present and fully intact. It is sighted with the standard flip up rear and blade front sights. A very good looking Saddle Ring Carbine in a great caliber.
