For Sale is this John Newton Frog Sheffield Bowie Knife - purchased it as Civil War Period and have been informed by someone with more knowledge of these knives then me that it is actually 1900-1920 period. You be the judge - will price accordingly. The four line address on one side of the blade at the base is:

and the other side has the Frog logo. The total length of the blade and Stag grips is 12". Blade alone is 7-3/4" and the Stag grips are 4-1/4". The sheath is all leather with brass or copper rivets which is 15" long. Really nice braided 2 or 3 leather tassel on end of the sheath around 12" long. Sheath will fit a 2-3/4" belt. the name "MOORE" is inscribed on the sheath - see pics. Beautiful high quality extremely well made Bowie Knife. Frog Logo is bold and distinct as is the address.
