For your consideration, the Mossberg 42TR bolt-action rifle chambered in .22LR. The 42TR Targo was an interesting rifle with a smoothbore barrel that was introduced in the early 1940s for a target game called Targo, though it didn't really become that popular. The rifle was designed to shoot clays with a .22LR shot ammunition. There were barrel extensions made, some rifled to shoot standard ammunition and others smooth to increase the length of the barrel. .22 Long Rifle
