1863/1864 U.S. Springfield .58 cal musket.Has spent at least last 50-60 years in a closet, Apears to be in overall very good condition, no cracks or damage to to stock or forend. As you can see in pictures barrel stamped 1863 and side plate 1864. I have been told it was common to swap parts between these models. For reasons unknown the front 3" of the barrel appear to have been turned down on a lathe, but overall condition of all metal seems very good
