The barrel and four-shot cylinder have a mottled plum-brown and gray patina with a clear and legible barrel address, and evenly distributed areas of surface oxidation throughout. Some minor impact marks are present on the metal as well. The brass frame has an overall dull ochre patina, with traces of the original nickel finish remaining along the edges. Some sort of issue or inventory number is present on the right side of the frame applied in whitewash: "10A / 42," and the small recoil shield is missing as well. The grips are original and numbered to the gun on the interior. They are in fine condition with minor handling marks and wear on both panels, marring the original varnish finish. The action is fully functional and the hammer cocks securely. This is a good-very good example of a desirable Cloverleaf revolver overall. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes |
