Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of superior strength and mechanical genius created under the micro management of John Olin himself. From 1930 to 1980 they only made about 2900 twenty-gauge guns in all grades, most of them weighing well over 6 3/4lbs., many over 7lbs. To find a Model 21 20ga. that weighs just 6lbs. 5oz. is an event. Anybody who walks long distances in the field appreciates a lighter gun by the end of the day. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. This gun, sn17028 produced in 1947 shows incredible workmanship and desirable features rarely found in other M21 guns. The combination of single selective trigger, ejectors, splinter forend, light weight, and factory M/F chokes clearly demonstrate its intended use…THE ULTIMATE M21 UPLAND BIRD GUN. See specifications below. This gun has seen little use, retaining factory finishes on all metal, including 98% barrel blue, 97% receiver blue, and 97% trigger guard blue. The nicely figured English style stock retains most of its original finish with no cracks notable damage, just light handling marks. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED GUN, MEANING WE HAVE STRIPPED THE ACTION AND FOREND IRON, PUT ALL PARTS THROUGH THE ULTRASONIC CLEANER, INSPECTED ALL PARTS FOR FIT AND FUNCTION, PROPERLY LUBRICATED AND REASSEMBLE THE GUN, A $375 SERVICE. All VFI certified guns carry a 90-day mechanical warranty. Who else offers that kind of guarantee? The gun is now ready for another 75 years of service. This is an extremely desirable Model 21 20 ga. if you are an upland hunter. The gun has condition, field chokes, and is a very lightweight Winchester Model 21 you will not often see.
