This is an early Marlin Model 39 in 22 S/L/LR. The Marlin model 39 was manufactured from 1922 to 1938. It includes an octagon barrel marked with the two-line Marlin address, patent, and caliber.
This model 39 serial # is 10### and does not include the prefix of “S” or “HS”. This points to its earlier production, quality, and collecting value. These models are noted for their superior worksmanship and fine finishes.
It includes an impressive grade wood stock and original finish is in relatively very good shape as shown in pictures. Grading is estimated between 85-95%.
