Description:
20 inch carbine configuration chambered in the desirable and hard to find 44 WCF caliber with a bright shiny bore. Fitted with a pinned blade front and carbine folding ladder rear sights. Overall metal retains a good amount of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a grey patina. Standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Saddle ring on the left of the receiver and a sling swivel eye on the barrel band. The refinished wood is very good with some scattered minor handling marks, heavier on the forearm most likely from spending time in a saddle scabbard. Carbine buttplate. Mechanically excellent. A nice 1892 SRC manufactured in 1919 in a desirable caliber.
