Description:
This is an extremely rare Smith & Wesson Model 41 that was issued to the U.S. Navy. The pistol features rack numbers and the Naval anchor mark on the left side of the slide and frame. The photos also include the correspondence with S&W historian Roy Jinks, who confirmed that this pistol was shipped to the U.S. Navy in 1963. The pistol has original bluing throughout, with most of the finish loss on the front strap. It has several surface scratches and minor high edge wear. Minty bore. Nice two-piece wood grips set with minor smoothing. Barrel is 7.25in long. Slide/frame are mismatched numbers but both appear to have Navy property numbers on them. As a result, the "fit" isn't perfect.
