An Early And Scarce U.S.N. Military Issued Mexican War & Civil War Used "N.P. Ames" Fouled Anchor Flask Dated 1843 In Fine Plus Condition. All original and complete. The flask has fine brass throughout with clear markings on top. It is marked clearly on the brass top, "N.P. Ames' On one side and "1843/ script JL" on the other. The body of the flask is fine throughout with tight seams all around. It has a clear large 'Fouled Anchor"/ "U.S.N." on both sides. The entire flask has no dents in it and has a wonderful mix of original lacquer and natural chocolate patina throughout it. The brass spout and top are also untouched throughout as shown. The flask operates perfectly. This Is A Very Fine And Untouched Example Of A U.S.N. Military Issued Mexican War & Civil War Used "N.P.. Ames" Fouled Anchor flask Dated 1843!
