Description:
Up for grabs is a rare Remington 700 BDL varmint 220 Swift bolt action rifle in great condition. The BDL is Remington's deluxe model, with premium features. This particular BDL is even more special. It is one of 1000 rifles specially made in 1992 as FIRST PRODUCTION and is stamped on the barrel; the Remington Model 700 BDL *FIRST PRODUCTION* VARMINT SPECIAL in 220 Swift caliber.
Manufactured in 1992 this rifle was a special limited run of only 1,000 units produced. This is the Holy Grail of Remington 700 rifles. It has a factory deep blue finish, 24 inch Heavy Varmint barrel, with 0.840” muzzle diameter, rollmarked *FIRST PRODUCTION*.
The rifle features a walnut Monte Carlo style stock with high gloss finish, which is very nicely checkered in a fancy skip-line point pattern that wraps around the forend and is fitted with a black forend tip, pistol grip cap, set off by white line spacers and supplied with studs for detachable sling swivels. The rifle is equipped with a hinged floorplate. The bolt is factory jeweled.
The stock does have a few dings. Please see pictures as I took as many pictures as possible showing the imperfections. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more pictures.
The bolt & barrel are in very good condition. Not many rounds fired down this rifle.
