You'll have to search far and wide to find a better example of this gorgous engraved Single Six. Absolute center piece for any Single Six collection. A good friend inherited this in the early 1980's from his uncle who had a beautful collection of all things Ruger. The engraving happened sometime between 1955-1983, perhaps at the factory. I can not find any markings anywhere in the engaving or elsewhere on the gun and yes, I've looked under thr grips. It has been showed to several gun engravers from California to Montana and each and every engraver has been in awe of the work. I posted this exact revolver on Facebook's "Only Rugers Revolver Group" back in July and had tons of great compliments and feedback, however still no solid ideas who did the scroll work....although no doubt, a master engraver. I've sold hundreds of guns throughout the years, but pricing this one has been the most difficult. I'm not sure if it's priced too high or grossly under priced. Look at the pictures closely and you be the judge. Thank you for looking!
