Description: Sold & shipped. $1,600 shipped. Colt Woodsman 1st Series Match Target with Correct Magazine & Grips in working order. About 16,000 of these were made between 1938 and 1944. This one was manufactured in 1940. Elephant Ear Grips: Toward the bottom end of the grips, on the right side, there is a fine 5mm long crack; the crack is circled in blue in photo #3. The grips also have a few minor signs of use (scuffs and dents). See the photographs Magazine: The magazine has the correct 3-line inscription: “COLT WOODSMAN”, “CAL. 22L.R.” “MATCH TARGET MOD” The roll stamp inscription on the floor plate of the magazine is uniform and strong. There is minor pitting on the magazine, but otherwise hardly any loss of finish. Frame/Barrel/Grip Straps: There is minor edgewear. At the muzzle minor loss of finish. There are a few scratches on either side of the barrel, frame and slide. There is no damage to the face of the breach from dry firing. The bore is bright and shiny. I don't see any pitting. Extras: In addition to the elephant ear grips, there is a set of aftermarket plastic grips with screw for a woodsman first series.  Happy to answer questions or provide additional photographs. I use a local gun shop as transfer agent and they ship the item to the FFL dealer that you designate. 3-day return privilege in accordance with Guns International policy.  Buyer should choose a FFL licensed dealer who keeps industry-standard business hours to avoid potential delivery problems. So far as I know, no state considers this gun to be "high capacity", since its magazine capacity is only 10 rounds.
