NSN, made in 1823, .69 caliber, 31"" round proofed barrel. Metal and other iron parts are a dark brown/grey patina with oxidation visible throughout. Lock plate is marked with ""EAGLE/US"",rear is marked ""SPRING/FIELD/1823"". Stock shows a bit of handling and usage wear with faint cartouches visible. Middle barrel band spring which has now become front barrel band spring is missing. Wrist has a repaired crack that wraps around from the side plate to the rear of the lock plate.Butt stock has various initials carved into the wood. Action functions correctly.
