When Marlin first introduced the Model 336 in 1948, the company made three versions: The Model 336A, which was a rifle with a 24″ barrel, the Model 336RC, which was a carbine with a 20″ barrel and a full-length magazine tube, and the Model 336SC with a 20″ barrel and half magazine tube. Most of the rifles made where with the full-length magazine which makes this Marlin S.C. serial number F21837 manufactured in 1949 a less common configuration. This example exhibits 99% bluing on the barrel and a mirror bore. The gun has a few handling marks but for a gun 74 years old is in excellent+ condition. Famously side loading and side ejecting these rifles are easily tapped for optics, no offset scope mounts that the Winchester 94 must accommodate! A classic in all respects. Thanks for looking!
