Offered is this fine, pre 64 model 70 featherweight in the classic 30-06 caliber. Manufactured in 1958, it has the 22 inch featherweight barrel with an as new sharp, bright bore. I rate it 10 on 1 to 10 scale. The front sight is the standard ramp with hood, rear is a factory folding leaf sight. The barrel retains 98%+ original blue, even the muzzle has full blue. The receiver has likewise near perfect blue. There are barely noticeable, faint trace marks from scope bases. The bolt knob has slightly thinning blue, extractor blue is near perfect with top edge wear from the bolt being cycled. The aluminum floorplate retains full coverage, a few tick marks near the release button but no chipped or worn edges. The trigger guard bow blue shows no edge wear. The stock is overall excellent. There is a small dent in the center left side of the butt, but it's exceptionally clean and free of use/handling marks. The buttplate edge has a few minor use marks if you look for them. I doubt this rifle has ever been in the field, it's very close to being as it left the New Haven factory in 1958!
