Description:
This Marlin Model 1895 is chambered in 45-70 Govt. The introductory model was made from 1972 to 1980, and then they were changed into more modern versions with a plain pistol grip stock with pressed in checkering. This Marlin Model 1895 has a shortened 17" barrel, a four-shot half-magazine, a straight stock with a slightly curved hard rubber buttplate and Marlin's squared finger lever. Sights are a folding buckhorn rear and a gold-bead post front. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, and the top was bead blasted to reduce glare. This rifle, Serial B010844 with information obtained from the internet suggests this gun was manufactured in or around 1972. This Marlin has a blemished spot on the barrel and is missing the bulls eye in the stock. Overall, this Marlin is still in excellent condition. .45-70 Government
