The Smith & Wesson 642 was introduced in 1993 and has been in production steadily since that time. Arguably, the Smith and Wesson 642 is the most popular J-Frame on the market. Tradition holds that the original design emerged from the creative mind of Col. Rex Applegate. Among the small revolvers, it has been called a personal favorite by Walt Rausch, Massad Ayoob, Jim Wilson, Stephen Camp, Ken Hackathorn and many others. Jim Supica, author of The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, said that it was possibly the finest pocket revolver ever made. I bought this revolver for my wife and she fired it 10 times and said that she wanted a .22 caliber so here it is just like new. It comes in the original box with all of the paperwork and original invoice showing what I paid for it. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer).
