Description:
Winchester Mod 70 pre war (1941) carbine in 30 Gov't 06. Gun remains in good condition with an excellent bore. Very rare, original 20" barrel topped with a vintage Leupold Vari x II 3-9x40 scope. The pictures tell the story and it has been messed with a bit. The stock has been sanded near the butt making the butt plate a bit proud. Bluing is thinning and spotty in places, the wood is dinged and worn but still in fine, solid condition. The rear sight was flipped to make room for the optic, at least they saved it! Overall a very nice addition to Mod 70 collection.
