Description:
This is a very complete USGI Colt 1911 made in 1916. It appears to have been refinished at some point. The grips are likely not original to the pistol. a very small amount of old pitting under the grips. Most of it was removed during the refinishing process.... Proper markings on the slide. Inspector marking appears to have been re-engraved ?? Proper Pre war era barrel has a very noce bore, with no pitting that I can see, P marked on the barrel hood.. Proper undercut slide stop. Proper two tone magazine. I am pointing out the flaws, but it is a very nice example of a rather rare 1916 1911.... and priced accordingly.
