Description:
Eubanks Gunsmithing of Homedale, ID did the restoration, along with Angelo Bee doing the engraving. As a reflection of Eubanks' prominence and pedigree, this is the same outfit that the Browning Collectors' Assoc. chose to create a special run of 12 of these guns, with engraving by Angelo Bee. The gun was in good mechanical shape, including barrel, when the project started. The gun also got beautiful claro wood.  The gun has not been used since restoration completion.

The FN Browning Trombone is a pump-action long takedown rifle patented by John M. Browning in 1919, release for sale on 1 August 1922 and manufactured by FN Herstal from 1922 to 1974 during which approximately 146,000 were made.  In 1969 there began to be Trombones brought to the US by Browning Arms Company. The stocks of early models were susceptible to cracking, sometimes attributed to the shape of the receiver; later models, such as the dovetail scope variant, appeared to solve this problem. The pump grip of all models is susceptible to cracking, the wood between the magazine and barrel being especially thin.
